Gold Cross Necklace

Gold Cross Necklace

There is nothing more powerful and more significant as a symbol of faith, devotion, and worship than a cross. The cross spans across the ages of time so far back that it is difficult to exactly define its true origins. Some suggest that it may be representative of how early
man created fire, which would make it a sign of devotion to the sacred flame. There is also theory to it being the symbol of lightning or the storm. There is another similar symbol that the ancient Egyptians used. This symbol is the ankh and represents life. This form had an impact on Christian cross designs, which is interesting since the ankh was a symbol of power and authority with the Egyptian priests and kings that enforced their dominion over the Christians. No doubt that there must have been some Egyptian priest or king that decided to wear one of their symbols on their neck and made it of precious gold. I propose that they certainly had the resources available to them to adorn themselves with a Gold Cross Necklace.
The symbol, the Cross, is a powerful concept for Christians. Since the early 2nd century, Christians have gestured with their fingers in the pattern of the holy cross on their foreheads. This act was believed to act as a protection against the power of evil and to keep sin away from their body, mind, and heart. These acts and the possession of the cross was recognized in written documents such as by Minucius Felix in the Octavius.

In later Christian beliefs, the cross more closely tied to the crucifix, the cross that Christ sacrificed himself upon at Golgotha. Though, there are many forms to the representative Crucifix. They range from two-dimensional wooden carved displays that show a peaceful, somber, and dead Jesus. Rarely, there are more dimensional pieces that provide more detail to his appearance. Variations in detail exist. In the East, it’s more common for the feet to be separate and the crown of thorns to be missing based on the emphasis of triumph over the emphasis of suffering. In the West, the crown of thorns is present and the feet are crossed and nailed. Yet, there are other representations that are less brutal such as by having him appear more triumph as he rises from the cross in dramatic displays. He can be bathed in rays of light or a halo of light surrounding his form. Instead of being stripped of clothing, he might also be
garbed as a prophet, king, or greatest priest.
As a symbol of dedication and devotion to these beliefs, there is a huge market and availability for the Gold Cross Necklace. These necklaces come in all manner of styles, because it is easy to add different details to a particular design. When it comes to a Gold Cross
Necklace, the typical karat rating will be 14 karat with consideration for value, but also for durability of the necklace. That alone doesn’t necessarily make it cost an arm and a leg though. A simple Gold Cross Necklace of 14k gold can be as cheap as $27. Of course, there are more elaborate and expensive forms that can go all the way up to a staggering $1,100. If you browse through the vast selection of Gold Cross Necklaces, you will no doubt see the popularity and be able to find one that you will be happy owning.
